Biography
2016 (Junior): Saw action in 19 games with one start...netted her only goal of the season against Northwestern State on Sept. 25... and assisted her teammates in games versus Southern, Nicholls, and Abilene Christian... Got off 18 shots, five of those being on goal... SLC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
2015 (Sophomore): Played in all 17 games for the Cowgirls along with nine starts... Recorded over 980 minutes along with 22 attempted shots... second on the team with three goals scored... scored the game-winner against Northwestern State (Sept. 27).... scored second goal of the year against Sam Houston State (Oct. 2)... punched in third goal against Abilene Christian (Oct. 18)... ranked in top five of every offensive category… SLC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
2014 (Freshman): Saw action in 18 games and made two starts towards the end of the season… attempted five shots on the season including three on goal… helped the Cowgirls post six shutouts over their opponents… SLC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
High School: Played for Legends FC... Four-year varsity letterman at Valley View HS and team captain in 2013-14… selected 2011 and 2012 offensive MVP… chosen to all-league team three times during high school career… was top scorer in 2012-13… four-year scholar athlete and also recognized for academic excellence… complete 100+ community service hours during 2012-13… member of Allied Health Academy and Club Hope…
Personal: Born November 11, 1996… daughter of Manuel and Nora Ortiz… cousin Jason Cameras is women’s soccer assistant coach at Missouri… cousin Bryan Blitz is head men’s soccer coach at Missouri… cousin ran track at UCLA… majoring in kinesiology.
