Maria Potsi, the native of Athens, Greece, is in her first season as a Cowgirl assistant coach.
Prior to joining the Cowgirls staff, Potsi spent the 2023-24 season as a graduate assistant at Eastern Michigan University where she helped coach a team to its first winning season and first MAC Tournament since 2018. She also served as a graduate assistant at Illinois State where she helpe lead the team to the Missouri Valley regular season title from 2021-2023.
Potsi began her playing career at Northern Illinois where she is a four-year letterwinner and was the No. 1 singles player and part of the No. 1 doubles team from 2017-2021.
Potsi transferred to Illinois State for her Covid yera where she was a member of the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Tournament championship team that advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
