Michelle Kuester

Michelle Kuester is in her second season as an assistant coach after joining the Cowgirl staff prior to the 2012 season.  The former New Mexico State standout is a native of Norfolk, NE.
    
Kuester serves as the Cowgirls’ recruiting coordinator as well as video exchange and coaches the middle blockers.  She also serves as the summer camp director.
    
Kuester played two seasons at New Mexico State (2010, 2011), one season at Texas Tech (2009) and the 2008 season at Iowa Western Community College.
    
While at New Mexico State, Kuester played in and started all 32 matches.  She led the team in blocks with 127 and was third on the team with a .275 hitting percent.  Kuester was credited with 158 kills, 374 attempts, four assists, six service aces and 26 digs.  She posted a .226 hitting percent with 33 kills for the Aggies in 2010.

n her only season at Texas Tech, Kuester tallied 20 kills in 50 attempts with a .180 hitting percent.  She finished the year with three solo blocks and 19 block assists.
   
She led Iowa Western Community College to a 52-4 record in 2008 where they finished fourth in the nation at the National Junior College Association National Tournament.  That year she totaled 217 blocks, which ranked her in the Top 10 in blocks in a single-season at IWCC.  She produced a .404 hitting percent and earned the Presidential Scholar Award.
    
The Norfolk Catholic High graduate earned second team class C1 all-state honors her senior season and held the record for most service aces in a season that year.  She also helped her team to its first undefeated season in 2007.
