Alexsis Cable was named McNeese soccer head coach on November 20,2025, becoming the 6th head coach in program history.
Cable comes to McNeese after spending the last five seasons as an assistant coach at the University of North Texas where she helped develop 18 all-conference players including the 2022 Conference USA Player of the Year who led the league in goals scored that season.
While on staff at UNT, Cable played a vital role in recruiting standout talent on the freshman side which resulted in the Mean Green fielding six freshmen who were named to the league’s all-freshman team.
Prior to her stint at UNT, Cable spent two seasons at Southland foe Nicholls serving as an assistant coach during the 2019 season and receiving a promotion to interim head coach ahead of the 2020 season.
Cable began her coaching career as a graduate assistant at Northwestern State University during the 2017 and 2018 season.
She played collegiate soccer at SLC rival Southeastern (2013-2014) where they made a trip to the NCAA tournament after winning the 2013 SLC Tournament Championship and UNT (2015-2016) where she helped them notch back-to-back conference USA championships while also making the trip to the NCAA Tournament.
Cable graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Integrative Studies from the University of North Texas in May 2017 and a Master of Science in Human & Health Performance from Northwestern State University in May 2019.
