Chris St. John returns to McNeese for his second stint after spending the previous season coaching defensive ends at Florida A&M.
A Florida State graduate with a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary social sciences, St. John began his coaching career at Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California. He then spent a decade on staff at Florida State under legendary coach Bobby Bowden, first as a student assistant videographer (2000-06) and later as a graduate assistant (2007-09).
He coached at Greenville State (2010) and West Georgia (2011).
His first coaching stint at McNeese came in 2022 as a defensive analyst then left to join the Samford Staff in 2023.
