McNeese offensive lineman
Antoine Everett has garnered one of the nation's highest postseason honors after he was named to the Associated Press All-American team, earning second team honors.

Everett becomes the second offensive lineman in as many years to earn AP All-American honors. Last year
Arinze Agada earned second team honors from the organization. Everett's award is also the 36
th handed out by the AP to a McNeese football player in school history and the 136
th All-American honor covering 12 different organizations.

The native of Richmond, Texas was the leader and only senior on the Cowboys' offensive line this past season and started every game the last two years.

He played a pivotal role in helping the rushing game post its highest per game rushing total of 217.6 ypg since the 2009 team averaged 218 yards per contest on the ground. The Cowboys ranked third in the league in rushing and was fourth with a 5.0 yards per carry average.

Everett entered the season as a preseason all-American by the Sports Network and was recognized by the Southland Conference with first team All-SLC postseason honors for the second consecutive year.
