Antoine Everett named 2nd team All-American by TSN

LAKE CHARLES – A week after being named to the Associated Press All-America team, McNeese offensive lineman Antoine Everett has been selected as a Sports Network FCS All-American, earning second team honors.
 
Everett's award is the 137th All-American honor for the McNeese football program, covering 12 different organizations.
 
The native of Richmond, Texas was the leader and only senior on the Cowboys' offensive line this past season and started every game the last two years.
 
He played a pivotal role in helping the rushing game post its highest per game rushing total of 217.6 ypg since the 2009 team averaged 218 yards per contest on the ground. The Cowboys ranked third in the league in rushing and was fourth with a 5.0 yards per carry average.
 
Everett entered the season as a preseason all-American by the Sports Network and was recognized by the Southland Conference with first team All-SLC postseason honors for the second consecutive year.
 
He is one of 10 players from the Southland Conference to garner a position on one of the three teams. Stephen F. Austin running back Gus Johnson earned first team honors. Joining Everett on the second team include Central Arkansas offensive lineman Cole Caruthers and Southeastern Louisiana linebacker Isiah Corbett. Third team honorees from the SLC include Lamar wide receiver Mark Roberts, SLU kick returner Xavier Roberson, Sam Houston State defensive lineman P.J. Hall and punter Lachlan Edwards, UCA defensive lineman Jonathan Woodard, and Northwestern State defensive back Imoan Claiborne.
