LAKE CHARLES – The McNeese women's tennis team will be back in action on Tuesday when the Cowgirls welcome Central Arkansas to Lake Charles for a Southland Conference match set to begin at noon at the Nancy Hank Tennis Center.
McNeese (6-5, 2-1 SLC) will look to bounce back from a 6-1 loss at the hands of Nicholls last Thursday. The loss snapped a five-match winning streak for the Cowgirls.
Sophomore
Julia Kral continues to lead the singles division with seven wins on the year while the team of Kral and freshman
Hannah Brett has collected six wins in doubles.
The Cowgirls are a combined 16-9 in doubles competition.
Central Arkasas (7-1, 2-1 SLC) swept both league matches last weekend with wins over Southeastern Louisiana and New Orleans. The Sugar Bears have won four out of their last five matches with the only loss coming to conference leader Northwestern State.
Allison Murphy is sporting an undefeated record in both singles and doubles competition for UCA this season. Her 8-0 singles mark ranks the best on the squad while her and partner Kelsey Williams have yet to taste defeat in doubles action.
The Sugar Bears are a combined 33-12 in singles competition and 19-3 in doubles.
Following the match on Tuesday, McNeese will hit the road with contests at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Friday, Mar. 27 at 5 p.m. followed by a match at Incarnate Word on Sunday, Mar. 29 at 11 a.m.
