LAKE CHARLES—With the livestock show and rodeo in town for the next two weeks occupying Burton Coliseum, the McNeese women's basketball team will host Central Arkansas Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 5:30 p.m. at the Lake Charles Civic Center. It's the only game that will be play downtown this season.

McNeese (10-10, 5-4 SLC) will face the Sugar Bears for the second time in less than two weeks. The Cowgirls dropped the first meeting 67-52 in Conway, Arkansas on Jan. 18. The Cowgirls will look to get back into the win column after dropping their last two outings, a home game against UNO last Thursday and most recently, a 77-65 road loss to conference co-leaders Abilene Christian last Saturday.
Despite having five players score in double figures against ACU, the Cowgirls failed to hit the shots in key moments of the game.
Senior
Victoria Rachal, who has led McNeese in scoring for most of the season, is the only player averaging in double digits with 10.3 ppg. Rachal is coming off a 17-point performance against ACU.
Junior
Frederica Haywood, who leads the conference in rebounds (11.1) in league games picked up her fifth double double this season against ACU on Saturday with 10 points and 10 rebounds. The native of Mound Bayou, Mississippi is 36 rebounds away from moving into third place on the McNeese career rebound list.
UCA (15-4, 7-2 SLC) is tied for third place in the standings after handing Stephen F. Austin is first conference loss of the season last Wednesday. UCA enters Tuesday's game on a six game losing streak. Their last loss was at Abilene Christian on Jan. 7.
Kierra Jordan leads a trio of players in double figure scoring with 14.6 ppg. Maggie Proffitt is averaging 13.9 ppg. and Taylor Baudoin is averaging 10.1 ppg.
