LAKE CHARLES—After a come from behind win over UL-Monroe on Sunday, McNeese women's basketball will conclude its four game home stand on Wednesday, Nov. 29 with a 7 p.m. contest against Tulane. Live streaming will be available and the game will be broadcast on the McNeese Radio Network (Cajun Radio 1470/1290 AM).
This will be the 24
th all-time meeting between the two teams with McNeese holding a 12-11 edge but Tulane has won the last nine meetings including an 82-65 win in New Orleans last season.
McNeese (3-2) got a career high 19 points including 5 of 8 from three-point range from sophomore Regan Bolton in the victory over ULM. Sophomore Caitlin Davis, who ranks fourth in the nation with 7.6 apg., dished out 11 assists for the second time this season and the second time in the last three games. Davis picked up a career high 11 assists in the win over LSUA on Nov. 19 and tied that mark against ULM.
Seniors Keara Hudnall and Jasmyn Carswell lead the Cowgirls in scoring and rebounding. Hudnall is averaging 12.2 ppg. and Carswell is averaging 6.8 rpg. Davis is also averaging in double figures with 10.4 ppg while freshman Bre'Ashlee Jones is pulling down 6.4 rpg.
Tulane (3-3), a member of the American Conference, is coming off an appearance at the Junkanoo Jam in the Bahamas over the weekend where the Green Wave split games against Iowa State and San Diego State. The Green Wave fell 67-64 to Iowa State before picking up an 80-64 win over San Diego State.
In the win over San Diego State, Tulane had its best shooting night in program history by making 15 three-pointers in the win.
Senior guard Kolby Morgan ranks 17
th in the nation in scoring with 22.3 ppg. Harlyn Wyatt leads the team with 6.0 rpg.
Following Wednesday's game, McNeese will travel to UL-Lafayette Sunday, Dec. 3 for a 5 p.m. game at the Cajun Dome. The Cowgirls will return home Dec. 11 to host Louisiana College in its final home game until Dec. 30.
