McNeese (5-8, 2-1) returns to Lake Charles with heavy hearts; allowing themselves to be outscore 15-2 in the final four minutes of Wednesday night's game gave up a well-built lead lasting 37 minutes in the 79-74 loss to ACU.

Jarren Greenwood led the Cowboys for the first time this season, despite six other double-digit performances.

The Cowboys blew a 12 point halftime lead and led by as many as 10 within the last five minutes- but would go 1-4 from the field and committ four turnovers, giving Abilene Christian multiple scoring opportunities and eventually the lead and the victory.

The loss on Wednesday broke the Cowboy's three-game win streak, a feat McNeese has not achieve since late in the 2015-16 season.

New Orleans is traveling to Lake Charles with a 3-0 conference start under its belt, after a 72-62 win against Lamar.

The Privateers defeated the Cardinals with the help of junior Diontae Champion, who finished with 13 points, highlighted by two dunks and three blocks.

Sophomore Kalob Ledoux continues to be a scoring sensation for the Cowboys, now averaging 12.8 points per game. Ledoux is followed closely by three-point specialist James Harvey with 11.6 points per game.

Quatarrius Wilson had his lowest performance of the year against ACU, fouling out in only 19 minutes of play, pulling down seven rebounds and scoring only four points.

Despite the fact that New Orleans holds the better conference record, McNeese still reigns amongst Southland opponents, with the top scoring offense ( 77 ppg) and rebounding offense (40 rpg).

In conference play, Ledoux sits at sixth place, averaging 17.7 points against SLC foes. Harvey comes in at number nine and Greenwood at number 22.

Saturday's game will be the 19th meeting in the all-time series with UNO holding a 10-8 lead.  McNeese has dropped the most recent two matches: 69-63 (Feb.9) and 75-56 (Jan.26). The Cowboys and Privateers are in a 4-4 stalemate since UNO joined the Southland Conference in 2014, over the course of those games McNeese holds a 3-1 lead at home in Burton, while sitting at 1-3 on the road.
