LAKE CHARLES – McNeese's women's tennis match against Lamar scheduled for Saturday has been postponed until April 10 but Sunday's 1 p.m. contest against Sam Houston State at the Nancy Hank Tennis Center is still scheduled as planned.
McNeese (12-3, 7-1 SLC) is tied for first place heading into the final three matches of the season and has won five consecutive Southland Conference matches.
The Bearkats (10-4, 5-2 SLC) are riding a two-game winning streak into the match on Sunday and have been winners in five of their last six matches. The last time the Bearkats defeated the Cowgirls was in 2013 with a 5-2 victory.
Sam Houston is currently ranked fourth in the conference and is looking to clinch a tournament berth this weekend.
The Cowgirls, who have already wrapped up a tourney spot, will remain home for the rest of the regular season when they take on Lamar on April 10 followed by a match with Nicholls on April 14.
