LAKE CHARLES – McNeese's defenses have traditionally been a dominant force in the Southland Conference and the nation over the past 74 seasons and the 75
th season is falling right in line.
From the Blue Wall in the 1970s and 80s to the Defense With Attitude (DWA) formed in the 90s and still going strong today, a major part of that success has been because of the group of linebackers the Cowboys have put on the field.
In conjunction with the celebration of the 75
th year of McNeese Football, on Thursday, 16 linebackers have been selected to the McNeese Football 75
th Anniversary All-Linebacker team.
Since the 2018 season is the 75
th year of football, current players will be eligible to be added to the list at the conclusion of the season.
Members of the All-75
th Anniversary team will be recognized at the Oct. 6 home game against Abilene Christian. Contact
