Damilola Balogun recorded her first double double of the season (14 pts., 13 reb.) in a 79-54 loss at Louisiana Tech here Thursday night. Balogun was joined in double figures by
Regan Bolton and
Callie Maddox who both ended the game with 10 apiece.

The Cowgirls struggled with turnovers tonight, committing a season high 30 while shooting 43.8 percent from the field. La. Tech also had trouble handling the ball as they committed 20 turnovers but shot 70.6 percent from the field.

McNeese drops to 2-6 on the year while La. Tech improves to 5-2 on the year. The Cowgirls will return home on Dec. 18 to host LSU-Shreveport in its final tune-up before opening Southland Conference play on the road at Stephen F. Austin on Dec. 21. Â

1st QUARTER
The Cowgirls took an early 7-4 lead then went on a 5-0 run following a media timeout to take a 12-4 lead. La. Tech responded with a 9-0 run to take a 13-12 lead but a
Callie Maddox layup with 58 seconds left in the quarter gave McNeese a 14-13 lead which would be the first quarter score.

nd QUARTER
La. Tech outscored McNeese 10-3 in the first five minutes of the quarter to extend their lead to 24-16. Cowgirls go on an 8-0 run to cut the lead top 27-23 following one of two free throws by Balogun. La. Tech led 29-26 at the half.

3rd QUARTER
La. Tech scored the first six points following the half to take a 35-26 lead and held as much as a 16-point lead (47-31) with 1:57 left in the quarter. The Cowgirls would end the quarter by scoring the last four points to cut the lead to 10 (47-37) following a Ratcliff jumper with :07 left.

4th QUARTER
A Van Campen layup to start the quarter cut the La. Tech lead to eight (47-39) but a 10-0 run by the Lady Techsters pushed their lead back up to 18 (57-39) with 7:10 to go. Â Tech put together another scoring run (23-4) within a five minute span to take extend their lead to 70-45.
