McNeese to Honor Military on Saturday vs. Alcorn State

| By:
LAKE CHARLES – McNeese's football game against Alcorn State on Saturday is Military Appreciation Game and the athletic department has several special things lined up to celebrate the event.

Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. in Cowboy Stadium.

A special discount for tickets for military personnel with a valid military I.D. will be just $11 for a general admission seat.

Approximately 500 Boy Scouts will be in attendance and Military Appreciation T-shirts will be given out to McNeese students.

The Parapokes will once again parachute into Cowboy Stadium prior to the National Anthem, and a surprise event is scheduled to take place as well for the fans.

"We're excited about it being Military Appreciation Game and being able to honor those that not only serve us now, but have served us in the past," said head coach Sterlin Gilbert. "For us to be able to provide that opportunity here in Lake Charles for many of the local people in the community and parish to come see us, and know that they're appreciated for what not only what they've done and that they're doing."

The Cowboys will wear special Stars & Stripes McNeese logos on the helmets to show their support of the military.

Tickets are available HERE, by calling the ticket office at 337-562-4MSU, or in person at the Jack Doland Fieldhouse.
