COLLEGE STATION – Darion Dunn tied his own school record in the 60-meter hurdles and Alanna Arvie followed up her performance of a week ago where she set a new school record in the shot put with a first place showing on Saturday as the McNeese indoor track and field team competed at the Texas A&M Invitational in its final meet before the March 1-2 Southland Conference Indoor Championships.
 
Dunn clocked a 7.92 in the prelims in the 60-meter hurdles to match his own school record, then ran a 7.97 in the finals to finish in second place. He also placed 10^th in the long jump with a mark of 22-1.
 
Arvie threw 49-1 to capture first place in the women's shot put then placed second in the weight throw with a mark of 57-8.5.
 
Other high finishes for the team included a fourth place finish in the men's 800-meters by Joey Croft with a time of 1:54.27, followed by LaDann Thomas in fifth place at 1:54.44.
 
Nemanja Koviljac finished sixth in the men's long jump at 23-3, Elijuan Singleton sixth in the triple jump t 46-8.75, and Garrett Dietert sixth in the shot put at 47-6.5.
 
On the women's side, sprinter Tia Andrews finished fifth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.71 and Alexis Deville fifth in the pole vault at 11-0.25.
