Cowboys host Cardinals at noon Saturday

LAKE CHARLES – McNeese football returns home on Saturday when it hosts Lamar in the final Battle of the Border as Southland Conference foes.

Kick-off is scheduled for noon in Cowboy Stadium. Admission is free and allowable attendance has been increased to up to 8,000 after Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards proclamation last week to increase capacity to 50 percent.

The game will also air live on ESPN plus and on the McNeese Radio Network (92.9 The Lake and 929thelake.com).

The Cowboys will enter the game with a 1-2 mark this spring season but coming off an impressive outing at Southeastern Louisiana where they fell 25-20 but saw bright spots. McNeese had the ball driving inside the 10-yard line with less than three minutes to play and down by five points when a fumble ended the chance at a late win.

Lamar (0-2, 0-2 SLC) fell 42-20 to Incarnate Word last week and dropped a 55-0 decision to Nicholls the week prior.
