CORPUS CHRISTI – McNeese tennis dropped a 7-0 Southland Conference match to first place Texas A&M-Corpus Christi here Sunday, dropping to 1-9 overall and 1-2 in league play while the Islanders improved to 13-1 and 3-0.
 
Natalia Ballo put up a good battle in the No. 4 singles, winning the second set before dropping the third in a 6-0, 5-7, 6-2 loss to AMCC's Emma Aucagne.
 
Carlotta Romito fought hard in the No. 2 singles against Mariya Shuymeika in a 7-6, 6-1 loss and in the No. 5 singles, Hanna Blinouskaya dropped a 7-5, 6-2 decision to Leopoldine Boisseau.
 
The Cowgirls will return to action on Tuesday when they visit Lamar at 2 p.m.
