LAKE CHARLES—McNeese first year head women's basketball coach Lynn Kennedy and his squad will hit the hardwood for its first official team practice this Friday (6 a.m.) at the Ralph O. Ward Rec Complex on campus. All practices are closed to the public.
 
Kennedy and his staff have been conducting individual player workouts, but Friday's practice will be the first practice with the entire team.
 
The Cowgirls' roster features four returnees from last year's team along with 10 newcomers that includes six transfers.
 
McNeese will play one exhibition game against Dillard on Oct. 30 before its season opener at Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Nov. 9. The Cowgirls will host Southwestern Assemblies of God on Nov. 13 in its home opener.
