COLLEGE STATION, Texas— McNeese women's tennis team knew their opening match of the 2022 season was going to be a challenge and the results proved to be correct in the Cowgirls' 7-0 loss at preseason 14
th ranked Texas A&M here Sunday.
The Aggies opened the match by winning the doubles point to take an early 1-0 lead then went on to win all six singles matches.
McNeese (0-1) managed to win three games in the match with
Natalia Ballo taking a game from Jeanette Mireles in the first set at the No. 3 singles.
Ariane Monlleo Sanchis won a game in the first set at the No. 4 singles against Ellie Pittman and
Yukina Abe picked up a game in the second set against Kayal Gownder at No. 5.
