LAKE CHARLES - The McNeese Cowboys will conduct their first scrimmage of the spring on Saturday under first-year head coach
Gary Goff.
The Cowboys will run approximately 30 live plays on the back half of Saturday's practice that gets underway at 10 a.m. in Cowboy Stadium. The public is invited to attend.
Following the scrimmage, the Cowboys coaching staff will hold a coaching clinic in the End Zone Room at 12:30. The clinic is open to all high school coaches and will include a lunch. Cost is $10 and registration will begin at 9:30 a.m.
Coach Goff will open the clinic with feature presentations by McNeese coaches
Phillip Ely (quarterbacks coach),
Tony Pecoraro (defensive coordinator),
Frank Wilson Jr. (special teams coordinator), and J.R. Griffin (director of strength and conditioning). Breakout sessions will be held from 4-6 p.m.
