THIBODAUX- After claiming the series Saturday night, the McNeese Cowboy baseball team (15-13, 3-3) fell 8-7 in 10 innings in the final game of their SLC series against Nicholls (15-11, 4-2) Sunday afternoon at Ray E. Didier Field.

Center fielder Payton Harden tied a career-high collecting four hits, including an RBI double in the eighth to tie the game. 

DH Kade Hunter, second basemen Brad Burckel, and first basemen Kade Morris each had two hits.

Morris led off the top of the tenth inning with a home run to right field. 

Julian Gonzales tied his season-high of three RBIs, he homered in the second inning and drove in two more with a walk and a fielder's choice. 

Ty Abraham made his eighth start of the season. He tossed four innings and recorded six strikeouts while surrendering three runs. Cameron Foster suffered his first loss of the season; he finished the previous two games.

Alec Paz led Nicholls at the plate with two home runs. Jaden Collura singled home the final two runs of the ballgame.

The Cowboys outhit Nicholls 13-9.

• B1: Ty Abraham picks off Garrett Felix at first base to end the inning.
• T2: Julian Gonzales homered to right field, (NICH 2-1).

• T5: Pokes load the bases (Harden double, Hunter walk, Burckel single). Josh Leslie hit a hard chopper off the pitcher's glove for an infield single to score Harden, (NICH 3-2). Julian Gonzales was walked the next batter to score Hunter. (3-3)
• B5: After a leadoff walk, Brad Burckel and Reid Bourque turned two. Bourque snagged the final out of the inning at short for Tyler Stone.
• B6: Alec Paz homered to left center, (NICH 4-3)
• T7: Josh Leslie bunted over Kade Hunter and Brad Burckel to second and third, respectively, they led off the inning with singles. The next batter, Julian Gonzales' reached on fielder's choice which scored Hunter, (4-4). Schuyler Thibodaux followed with a textbook sac-bunt to score Burckel, (McN 5-4).
• B7: Edgar Alverez was walked with the bases loaded, (5-5). Nicholls scored on a wild pitch, (NICH 6-5).
• T8: Kade Morris led off the inning with a double to left-center, he was moved third on Braden Duhon's sac-bunt. Payton Harden's fourth hit of the day went for two bases and scored Morris, (6-6). 
• B8 & B9: Andrew Sheridan does not allow a hit in relief to force extra innings.
• T10: Kade Morris homered to right field, (McN 7-6).
• B10: Jaden Collura two-run single.
