LAKE CHARLES—McNeese first year head volleyball coach,
Sasha Karelov has announced the addition of transfer Skyeler Embry to the 2022 roster.
Embry, the 6-0 outside hitter is a 5
th year transfer from UTSA where she played the last four years.
"Skyeler has a big arm and the ability to score with range," Karelov said. "She will bring maturity and experience to our program and will be a force in the Southland Conference."
Embry played in 27 career matches with the Roadrunners, picking up 92 kills (1.64 per set) along with 26 digs, and nine blocks.
As a senior in 2021, she was credited with 103 kills for an average of 2.24 per set along with 32 digs and eight blocks.

• Played at East Central High School and club with the San Antonio Sting.
• East Central's MVP as a senior in 2017
• Tabbed 27-GA first-team all-district
• Tabbed to the Under Armour Phenom List
• Led the region in kills per set (4.92)
• First-team all-district as a junior and was named to the Under Armour Phenom List
• MVP as a sophomore, leading team to the district championship
• Led team to the district championship as a freshman in 2014
• Led San Antonio Sting to second in the 2015 national's in New Orleans, earning all-tournament honors
