LAKE CHARLES—McNeese first year head volleyball coach Tayler Gray has announced the hiring of Nick Ziegelmann as an assistant coach with the Cowgirls.
"When building this staff, I knew I wanted to surround myself with individuals whose talents and strengths complemented my own," said Gray. "I was intentional about finding someone analytical who matches my work ethic and commitment to excellence. I truly believe Nick embodies those qualities, and I'm thrilled to begin this journey alongside him."
Ziegelmann comes to McNeese from the University of New Mexico where he spent one season as volleyball operations and technical coordinator.
Prior to his stint at the University of New Mexico, Ziegelmann spent several years in the private sector, most recently serving as the Vice President, Business Development for ICON International.
Ziegelmann began his volleyball career at Washington State in 2017 where he served as team manager and social media strategist for two years.
A Washington State University graduate in 2019, Ziegelmann earned is degree in Economic Sciences with a double minor in Business Administration and Sport Management.
Ziegelmann is the author of two books- The Disappearing Diamonds (2022) and The Tesoro Treasure (2017).
