MOBILE, Ala.—McNeese freshman
Salma Elhaimer scored her first career goal here Thursday in a 3-1 loss to Troy at the South Alabama Tournament.
McNeese (1-2-0) will conclude tournament play in a 3 p.m. game against South Alabama Sunday.
Troy (1-2-0) found the back of the net in the 11
th minute to take a 1-0 lead. The Trojans took advantage of a Cowgirl foul and scored off a penalty kick to increase the lead to in the 34
th minute.
Salma's goal came 45 seconds later to put the Cowgirls on the board to avoid the shutout.
Troy added a late goal in the 81
st minute from Jordan Stack to extend the lead to 3-1.
