Magalie Depot spearheaded a 3-1 Southland Conference victory over Nicholls here Friday night.

Depot was involved in every McNeese (4-5-1, 2-2-1 SLC) goal tonight, leading the Cowgirls with two goals and assisting on the other Cowgirl goal. Â

The Colonels took the early lead, three minutes into the game on an Avery Mondoux goal from the right side of the box.

Ten minutes later,
Anouk Linders tied the game in the 13
th minute with her first career goal. Both Depot and
Salma Elhaimer were credited with assists.

Depot put the Cowgirls up 2-1 in the 33
rd minute with her first goal of the game and third of the season.

Depot capped off the scoring in the 56
th minute with her second goal of the game and team leading fourth on the season off a dish from
Kambrie McFarland.

McNeese will remain home to host preseason favorite Northwestern State at 1 p.m. Sunday. The Lady Demons (5-3-2, 2-2-1 SLC) dropped a 1-0 home game to Houston Christian tonight.
