BIRMINGHAM, Alabama – McNeese track and field posted a solid outing at the Samford Indoor and Multis with several athletes posting new personal records and top five finishes.
• Cowgirl multi-event athlete
Morgan Talley kicked things off with a second place finish in the pentathlon by accumulating 3,718 points for a new personal record. In doing so, she recorded PRs in the high jump to finish second in that event, and a PR in the 800-meters with a time of 2:20.94 and finishing second in that event.

Kayla Harrison and
Jordan Carter recorded PRs in the 400-meters. Harrison finished fifth in the event with a time of 58.44 while Carter placed eighth at 59.22.
• Irene Barreiro-Lopez clocked a PR in the mile run with a time of 5:12.67.
• In the 3,000-meters, both
Marta Pascoa (5
th, 9:59.63) and
Ciara Gilroy (10:26.53) recorded personal bests.
• On the men's side,
Jalon White finished second in the 400-meters with a time of 47.72, the second-fastest time in meet history.
Ondray Miles placed third in the event with a PR time of 48.22.
• Freshman
Michael Berry finished second in the high jump at 6-2.75.
• Two Cowboys recorded PRs in the 200-meters –
Kaleb Blalock at 22.51 and
Matthew Madrey with a 22.69.
Next up:
McNeese will host its only college indoor event this Friday at the Ralph Ward Recreation Complex.
