WTEN: Cowgirls Complete Weekend With Doubleheader Win Over Our Lady of the Lake

SAN ANTONIO, Texas—McNeese women's tennis team completed its first week of competition with a doubleheader win (7-0, 4-0) over Our Lady of the Lake here Sunday to complete the weekend with a 3-0 record.  The Cowgirls opened the season with a 5-2 win at Prairie View on Friday.
 
"I am really happy on how we opened our season this weekend," said first year head coach Gabby Moore. "Friday, we had a tough time in doubles but we definitely executed much better throughout the weekend.  We played with purpose and we want to continue that moving forward into next week."
 
McNeese will travel to Ruston to face Grambling on Friday, Jan. 27 and Missouri State on Sunday, Jan. 29.
 
The Cowgirls' home opener is scheduled for Feb. 4 in a 1 p.m. match against Southern.
