RUSTON—McNeese women's tennis team remained undefeated at 4-0 here Friday as the Cowgirls cruised to a 6-1 win over Grambling at the Louisiana Tech Tennis Complex.
The 4-0 start is the best start since 2018 when that Cowgirls team also started the season 4-0 and advanced to the programs only NCAA Tournament.
"The girls were focused and played well today." Said head coach
Gabby Moore. "We were much more aggressive in doubles, something we spent most of the week working on. We've been super focused on staying consistent within our style of play and we really showed that today in singles. Our energy has been great and we want to continue building off of that."
McNeese opened the match by winning all three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead into the singles competition.
The aggressiveness of the Cowgirls allowed them win five of six singles matches.

Natalia Ballo, and
Luna Jokanovic were all victorious in singles play.
Martinez, Fox and Ballo all remained undefeated on the season in singles play. Wang improved to 4-0 on the season while Fox and Ballo improved to 3-0.

Ariane Monlleo Sanchis remained undefeated at 3-0 in doubles play with their 6-2 win over Grogina Kaindoa and Takudzwa Mawisire win at No. 2
The Cowgirls will conclude its weekend play in Ruston by facing Missouri State at 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
