LAKE CHARLES-- Jorja Elliott scorched the nets for a career high 30 points here Thursday night to lead Incarnate Word to a 69-45 Southland Conference Women's Basketball victory.
Elliott ended the game 11 of 13 from the field and 8 of 10 from behind the arc to go along with seven rebounds. Nina De Leon Negron chipped in with 10 points for the Cardinals.
The loss drops McNeese to 9-16 overall and 6-8 in league play while UIW improved to 11-13 overall and 6-8 in the SLC.

Le'Shenae Stubblefield led the Cowgirls in scoring with nine points apiece.
UIW started the game on fire from beyond the three-point line, particularly Elliott who scored the Cardinals' first 12 points of the game, all coming from three-point land.
McNeese only trailed by one point after the first quarter (20-19) but the Cardinals outscored the Cowgirls 12-8 in the second quarter to lead 32-27 at the half.
UIW outscored McNeese 36-18 in the second half and ended the game shooting 42.6 percent from the field including a 38.7 three-point field goal percent (12 of 31) while McNeese shot 29.3 percent from the field and 5.3 (1 for 19) from three-point land.
McNeese came out on top in rebounding where they outrebounded the UIW 44-37 with
Divine Tanks leading the team with nine rebounds.
The Cowgirls will remain home to host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 1 p.m. Saturday.
