LAKE CHARLES – McNeese basketball will host New Orleans on Wednesday night in a final attempt to qualify for the postseason Southland Conference Tournament.
 
Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 at the Legacy Center and the game will broadcast on ESPN+.
 
McNeese (8-22, 5-12 SLC) must defeat the Privateers (10-18, 7-10) and get some help in order to make the tourney which McNeese will host March 5-9. In addition to a win, the Cowboys will have to have UIW lose at Northwestern State and Lamar fall at Nicholls.
 
The Cowboys defeated the Privateers 79-78 in New Orleans back on Feb. 11 in a game where McNeese posted one of its greatest comebacks in school history by rallying from a 22-point second half deficit.
 
Also on Wednesday, McNeese will honor its two seniors in a pregame ceremony – Harwin Francois and Zach Scott. Both players are wrapping up a three-year playing career in the blue and gold.
