NASHVILLE – McNeese track and field returns to action on Friday and Saturday at the Vanderbilt Music City Challenge Meet.
 
McNeese is one of 48 schools entered, joining Alabama, UAB, Arkansas State, Auburn, Austin Peay, Ball State, Belmont, Butler, Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Cumberland, Duke, East Tennessee State, Eastern Kentucky, Florida International, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Iowa, Illinois State, Indiana State, Kent State, Lipscomb, Louisville, Memphis, Meridian CC, MIT, Miami (Fla.), Middle Tennessee, Mississippi State, Missouri, Murray State, North Carolina, North Dakota State, Northern Colorado, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Penn State, Rider, Southern Illinois, Southern Mississippi, Tennessee, Tennessee State, Teas Tech, Troy, Tulane, Vanderbilt, and Virginia Tech.
 
Events on Friday will begin at 11 a.m. with the men's weight throw and the men's and women's high jump. Running events will start at 5 p.m. with the women's mile followed by the men at 5:40.
 
On Saturday, the women's 3,000-meters will start the day off at 9 a.m. while the men's shot put will begin at 9:30.
