LAKE CHARLES – McNeese track and field will host the Cowboy Relays "Bob Hayes Challenge" on Saturday at the Bill and Lena Henning Track & Field Complex on Saturday.
This will be the first outdoor home meet for McNeese since the spring of 2019 after the global pandemic canceled meets in 2020 then the destruction left by Hurricane Laura and Delta in the summer of 2020.
Joining McNeese in the field of teams will be Northwestern State, Grambling, Dillard, St. Thomas (Texas), Texas Southern, McNeese Alumni and US Express.
Field events will begin at 9 a.m. with the men's hammer throw followed by the women at 10:30. Running events will start at 1 p.m. with the 4x100-meter relays.
