LAFAYETTE – McNeese wrapped up its second track and field competition of the outdoor season on Saturday at the ULL Louisiana Classics with several Cowboys and Cowgirls picking up some wins while posting personal bests.
 
Cowgirl runner Marta Pascoa clocked the second-fastest time in school history in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:59.52 to set a new PR and finish second in the event.
 
Sprinter Kayla Harrison was a double-winner on the day, taking first in the 100-meters with a new PR of 11.77 and ran a 24.29 in the 200-meters for another win and personal best.
 
Mariah Lee continued her dominance in the throws where she won in the hammer event at 179-0.
 
On the men's side, Marcus Francis won in the shot put with a throw of 51-1.75.
 
The team will be back in action next Friday and Saturday at the Rice Victor Lopez Invitational.
