LAKE CHARLES—In its first year under head coach Sasha Karelov, McNeese Volleyball ended the 2022 season leading the nation in digs per set with 18.53 per set.
"It's very exciting to be recognized by the NCAA as the team leader in digs per set," said head coach Sasha Karelov. "I hold a very high standard for every member of my program, regardless of position, when it comes to ball control and first touch. We take a lot of pride in being relentless and gritty on defense. Several players reached career highs in digs last season. However, we still have so much room to grow and I'm looking forward to making improvements on individual and team defense as we prepare for next fall."
