LAKE CHARLES—McNeese women's tennis, the No. 3 seed will begin play at the 2023 Southland Conference Tournament in Corpus Christi, Texas on Friday in a 2 p.m. match against No. 6 seed Lamar.

McNeese is making its 17
th overall SLC Tournament appearance and first under first year head coach
Gabby Moore. The Cowgirls enter the tournament with a 14-5 overall record.

Lamar enters the tournament with an 11-10 overall record. The Cowgirls defeated the Cardinals 4-3 during the regular season in Lake Charles on April 10.

A win by the Cowgirls would advance them to the semifinal round where they would face the winner of UIW/Southeastern match.
