HOUSTON – McNeese Cowgirl distance runner Sorcha Moloney placed her name in the record book in the 5,000-meter run with her second-place time of 17:09.34 at the Rice Fred J. Duckett Twilight.
 
Moloney was the first collegian to finish as her time is ranked as the fourth-fastest in school history and is currently third in the Southland Conference rankings.
 
Blanche Beard posted a top three finish when she placed third in the javelin throw with a mark of 147-03 while the 4x400 relay squad made up of Boluwatife Akinwande, Makayla Heath, Jordan Carter and Kayla Warner, placed second with a time of 3:50.64.
 
On the men's side, Hunter Longino finished second in the javelin throw with a mark of 204-09.
 
The team will be back in action May 4-6 at the Southland Conference Outdoor Championships in Commerce, Texas.
