LAKE CHARLES—McNeese softball, who cracked the Softball America Top 25 Poll this week coming in at No. 25 will host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in its regular season home series finale. All three games will broadcast on ESPN+.
The series will get underway with a single game at 6 p.m. Friday and will conclude with a 1 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday. The series also marks senior weekend and McNeese will honor its 2023 seniors

McNeese (35-14, 15-3 SLC) remains atop the league standings despite a conference series loss at Southeastern earlier this week. The Cowgirls head into the series leading the SLC with a .345 team batting average and the pitching staff has a league low 1.10 ERA in conference games.
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (21-18, 9-9 SLC) comes into the series tied for third place with Northwestern State and Incarnate Word.
The Islanders are coming off a series loss at NW State last weekend, dropping the first two games 2-1 and 6-3 before avoiding the series sweep with a 5-1 win in the series finale. TAMU-CC are second in SLC games with a s1.84 ERA behind the Cowgirls.
Aholelei Primrose leads the pitching staff with a 16-10 overall record with a 1.78 ERA and she is 8-4 in the SLC with a 1.59 ERA.
Kimane Rogron leads the offense with a. 284 batting average, 33 hits while Quinn DeAvila leads the team with four home runs.
