LAKE CHARLES – McNeese's September 9 football game at Florida will kick-off at 6:30 p.m. CT and will broadcast live on ESPNU, it was announced on Wednesday by the Southeastern Conference.
 
The Cowboys and Gators will be meeting on the gridiron for the first time while marking the fifth time in school history McNeese will play an SEC opponent.
 
The ESPNU broadcast will be the first linear nationally televised game for McNeese since the 2014 season opener when the Cowboys nearly shocked the world by upsetting Nebraska. That game was broadcast on ESPNU but switched to the flagship ESPN channel when the Cowboys were threatening with an upset.
 
McNeese fans planning to make the trip will need to purchase tickets from the University of Florida athletic website. Tickets will not be available at the McNeese ticket office. Cowboy fans will be seated in Section 44. Tickets are $50 each.
