THIBODAUX, La. - McNeese's soccer team (4-4-2, 1-0-1 SLC) shut out Nicholls (1-10-0, 0-2-0 SLC) 3-0 at the Thibodaux Regional Sports Complex Sunday afternoon.

Briana O'Dell really stepped up and making two saves on the penalty kick play was huge."
Anouk Linders, a sophomore, scored her first goal of the season to give the Cowgirls an early 1-0 lead over the Colonels just 7:37 into play.
In the 39th minute of play, senior
Magalie Depot placed teh second goal in the net for the Cowgirls with some help from sophomore
Avery Baker.
For the third and final goal, Depot scored once more in the 75th minute of play after connecting with sophomore
Dom Ducal.
McNeese hits the road again against Northwestern State on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Lady Demons Soccer Complex.
