NEW ORLEANS—McNeese women's tennis ended its opening weekend with a 7-0 win over Dillard Sunday afternoon to improve to 3-1 on the season. 
 
The Cowgirls' No. 1 doubles team of Arina Gamretkaia and Anastasija Adeikyte and No. 2 doubles teams made up of Emma-Lou Pommiers and Maria Wang Martinez gave McNeese the first point of the day by winning their matches to claim the doubles points.
 
McNeese won all six singles matches in straight sets to claim the win.
 
Adeikyte, a freshman ended her first collegiate weekend undefeated at 3-0 in singles and teamed with Arina Gamretkaia to post a 4-0 doubles record on the weekend. 
 
Also undefeated on the week was Tian Fox, who also posted a 3-0 singles record and Natalia Ballo and Ariane Monlleo Sanchis at 2-0.
 
McNeese will return to action this weekend when the Cowgirls will travel to Denton, Texas to face Southeastern Oklahoma on Friday and North Texas on Saturday.
 
The Cowgirls will return home on Saturday, Feb. 3 to host Idaho.
