NEW ORLEANS -- For the second time in less than a week, McNeese volleyball picked up a straight set (25-15, 25-19, 25-19) Southland Conference win over New Orleans Thursday night. The Cowgirls defeated the Privateers 25-12, 25-12, 25-18 in Lake Charles last Saturday.
With the win, the Cowgirls improve to 7-10 overall and 3-2 in conference play. UNO falls to 2-16 overall and 0-6 in the SLC.
McNeese will conclude its road trip at league leading Southeastern (14-4, 6-0 SLC) in a 12 p.m. match Saturday. The Lady Lions extended its SLC match winning streak to 23 straight with win over Nicholls Thursday.
Southeastern defeated the Cowgirls 3-1 last Thursday in Lake Charles.

McKenzie Moore's first kill of the match gave McNeese the early lead and one they wouldn't give up
• UNO got as close as one point (12-11) but a 7-1 run by the Cowgirls put McNeese up 19-12
• McNeese ended the set on a 6-3 run to take the first set

• UNO jumped out to an 8-5 lead
• McNeese chipped away at the lead and two service aces by
Megan Grose gave the Cowgirls a 15-13 lead
• The Cowgirls would go on to score two more points for a 17-13 lead
• N. Moore's block gave McNeese a 20-17 lead
• The Cowgirls took advantage of three UNO errors to win the set to take a 2-0 match lead
Set 3
• UNO took a 2-1 early lead but kills by
Lacie Schooley put McNeese up 5-2 and the Cowgirls never gave up the lead on its way to a straight set win
• With the Cowgirls leading 9-7, McNeese scored six straight points behind the serve of
Bailey Tillman to lead 15-7
• UNO got as close as three points (18-15) before the Cowgirls closed out the set on a 7-4 run to seal the straight set win.
