LAKE CHARLES---McNeese women's basketball broke the school record by scoring 77 first half points and ending the game with 28 steals in its 105-35 win over College of Biblical Studies Thursday night to begin the season 2-0.

Azjah Reeves led all players with 15 points while
Julia Puente added 13.Â
Mireia Yespes and
Lyla Kahrimanovic both chipped in with 12 points apiece. Kahrimanovic also led all players with four blocks.Â
Boston Berry came off the bench to lead the Cowgirls with seven rebounds. Â

McNeese held a 77-13 halftime lead with its largest lead of 73 coming with 3:21 left in the third quarter.

McNeese will close out its three game home stand with a 1 p.m. game on Sunday against North American University.
