LAKE CHARLES—McNeese Women's Tennis first year head coach Sonia Carlson has announced the Cowgirls 2025 schedule which is slated to begin Jan. 17.
 
The schedule consists of nine home matches including two doubleheaders.
 
"We are thrilled for the spring season," said head coach Sonia Carlson.  "The team has been working hard all fall, and I'm excited to see the girls come together and compete as a team. With such a young and talented squad, this season promises to be exciting for both the players and our supporters. We are looking forward to taking on some great competition and building momentum for the future of McNeese tennis."
 
The Cowgirls will open their season on the road for their first four matches which begins at North Texas.  The Cowgirls will remain in the Dallas area for a Jan. 18 match at UT-Tyler then will travel to Prairie View A&M on Jan. 22 for a doubleheader.
 
McNeese will host Dillard on Jan. 25 in its home opener.  The Cowgirls will also host Southern (Feb. 14) and Tyler Junior College and LSU-Alexandria for a Feb. 15 doubleheader. The Cowgirls will also host Tarleton State in a non-conference match on March 18.  
 
Other non-conference matches on the schedule have the Cowgirls playing Harding University and Missouri State in Searcy, Arkansas as well matches against Central Arkansas, Alcorn, and UL-Lafayette.
 
The Southland Conference opener is slated for March 1 at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.  The Cowgirls will also travel to UTRGV, Southeastern, Northwestern State, and Stephen F. Austin.
 
McNeese will host Lamar, Incarnate Word, Nicholls, and New Orleans in SLC matches. The SLC Tournament will take place April 22-26 in Thibodaux.
