NEW ORLEANS—McNeese women's tennis set a new program winning streak record with its 10th consecutive win Saturday, a 6-1 Southland Conference opening win over New Orleans.
 
With the win, McNeese improves to 12-1 on the year and 1-0 in the SLC.  UNO falls to 1-4 overall and 0-1 in the SLC.
 
McNeese won the doubles point, winning all three matches for the 1-0 lead.  Anastasija Adeikyte and Arina Gamretkaia improved to 13-1 on the year with their 6-4 win at No. 1.
 
The Cowgirls won five of the six doubles matches with Gamretkaia, Adeikyte, Emma-Lou Pommiers, Tiana Fox and Ariane Monlleo-Sanchis all picking up singles.
 
Adeikyte remains undefeated at 11-0 with her 6-3, 6-2 straight set win at the No. 3 spot.  Pommiers improved to 10-1 and Tiana Fox improved to 8-1 with their wins.
 
The Cowgirls will travel to Thibodaux on Monday for a 2 p.m. match.
