LAKE CHARLES—No. 69 McNeese women's tennis team extended its winning streak to 14 matches and improved to 16-1 on the year and 3-0 in league play with a 6-1 Southland Conference win over Southeastern Saturday.  Southeastern falls to 6-9 overall and 0-3 in the SLC with the loss.
 
The Cowgirls fell behind 1-0 early by dropping the double point but regrouped to win all six singles matches, with four wins coming in straight sets.
 
Aina Domingo-Bernabeu defeated Kate Oborina in straight set 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 2 singles to even the match at one apiece.  Emma-Lou Pommiers gave the Cowgirls the 2-1 lead with her straight set 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 4.  Arina Gamretkaia remained undefeated in singles at 14-0 with her straight set 7-6 (7-3), 6-0 win over Leanna Gomez at No. 1 singles.  Anastasija Adeikyte defeated Bente Bierma 6-2, 6-4 at No. 3 and Maria Wang Martinez picked up a 5-7, 6-1, 6-1 win over Panatchakorn Suanarsa at No. 5.  Ariane Monlleo-Sanchis was victorious over Taisia Bolsova 6-0, 5-7, 6-2 at No. 6.
 
McNeese will host Northwestern State next Tuesday in its home finale.  First serve is set for 1 p.m. with senior presentation beginning at 12:30 p.m.
