SAN ANTONIO, Texas—McNeese women's tennis advanced to the semifinal round of the Southland Conference Tournament with its 4-0 quarterfinal round win over Nicholls Friday afternoon. 
 
With the win, McNeese set a new single season wins record with 19 to improve to 19-3 overall.  The Cowgirls will advance to face No. 6 seed Northwestern State in the semifinals at 9 a.m. Saturday.
 
McNeese won the doubles point to take a 1-0 lead.  Emma Lou-Pommiers defeated Adda Inna 6-2, 6-1 at flight 4 for a 2-0 lead then Ariana Monlleo Sanchis picked up a 6-2-6-4 win over Constanza Cruz at flight 6 to extend the Cowgirl lead to 3-0.
 
Maria Wang Martinez clinched the match at flight 5 with her 6-1, 6-3 win over Lea Grinberg.
