LAKE CHARLES—McNeese volleyball bounced back Saturday from an upsetting five set loss to Incarnate Word on Friday with a straight set 3-0 (25-23, 25-23, 25-18) win over Florida A&M to conclude the Cowgirl Classic. The win improves the Cowgirls to 3-5 on the year while FAMU falls to 3-0 on the year.

• The entire set went back and forth for the first 28 points of the set
• With FAM leading 15-13, McNeese went on a 5-0 run behind
Riley Wall's serve to take an 18-15 lead
• McNeese extended its lead to 24-18 in kills by
Kayla Wilson and
McKenzie Moore followed by a service ace by
Kendall Osgood.
• FAM would hold off five set points to pull to within one point (24-23), but a Rattler service error gave the Cowgirls the first set.

• McNeese took and early 4-1 lead on two kills by
Lacie Schooley, an ace by
Bailey Tillman and a FAM hitting error.
• McNeese then led 8-5 but a Rattler run tied the set at nine apiece
• FAM then took over the lead 13-11 following three straight points
• With FAM leading 17-16, McNeese scored four straight points following a kill by Grosse, two aces by Wall and a FAM hitting error to take a 20-17 lead.
• The set would eventually tie up three more times with the last being at 23 apiece.
• A FAM service error put the Cowgirls up 24-23 before a kill by Grose ended the set for a 2-0 Cowgirl lead.

• McNeese opened the set with a 6-2 lead before extending it to 11-5 on a Wall ace.
• A three-point scoring run on kills by Schooley and
Kimaya Webb and a FAM error extended the lead to 18-11.
• A kill by Moore put the Cowgirls up 24-17 and Webb finished the set and match off with her seventh kill for the Cowgirl win.
