ARLINGTON, Texas -- McNeese volleyball (2-3) fell to UT-Arlington (5-0) in straight sets (25-15, 25-17, 25-20) here Friday on the second day of the UT-Arlington Classic.
McNeese will conclude tournament play against Santa Clara at 12 p.m. Saturday.

Set 1
• The set was back and forth for a few points before the Mavericks went on a run to take a 15-7 lead before going on to win the set 25-15.
Set 2
• McNeese held an 8-4 lead behind kills from
McKenzie Moore and
Kayla Wilson.
• A 5-0 run by the Mavericks gave them a 9-8 lead
• The lead changed three more times before UTA put together a 6-0 run with the set tied at 12 apiece to lead 18-12.
• McNeese got within five points late in the set before the Mavericks closed out the set by winning the last three points.
Set 3
• UTA jumped out to an early lead and extended it to 17-9
• With the Mavericks leading 24-17, the Cowgirls held off three match points on a kill by
McKenzie Moore and a block assists by Moore and
Kayla Wilson before the Mavericks would go on to win the third set and the match.
