BATON ROUGE – McNeese track and field returns to action Friday at the LSU Purple Tiger, kicking things off at 9:00 a.m. at Carl Maddox Fieldhouse.
 
Junior Jaslyn Russell and freshman Ta'Khara Johnson start the day with the weight throw off at 9 a.m. as the lone event followed before running events take off at 12:10 p.m.
 
Freshman Chris Calloura made an impact in his collegiate debut at the Vanderbilt Commodore Indoor Challenge, claiming gold in the high jump with a mark of 6-6 ¾.
 
Ondray Miles, a fifth-year senior, also earned a gold medal last weekend in the 400m dash, clocking a time of 48.13.
 
Joining the Cowboys at the meet are UL-Lafayette, Louisiana Tech, Hinds CC, Loyola (LA), Meridian, Southern, Xavier (LA), LSU, and Southland Conference foes New Orleans, Nicholls, Southeastern, and UTRGV.
